Dominic Ng

Dominic Ng is Chairman and CEO of East West Bank, the largest independent bank headquartered in Southern California. He transformed a small savings and loan association with $600 million in assets in 1991 into America’s #1 Best Performing Bank with more than $76 billion in assets.

Mr. Ng serves on the board of Mattel, Inc. (NYSE: MAT) and the Board of Trustees at the University of Southern California.

Widely recognized for his business achievements, civic leadership and community impact, Mr. Ng was named one of the most influential people in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Times. He received the inaugural Wallis Icon Award, which honored his role in corporate philanthropy and his efforts to strengthen the institutions and communities that shape Los Angeles. His many accolades include American Banker’s Banker of the Year and, the United Way Alexis de Tocqueville Global Award.

For nearly two decades, Mr. Ng held various leadership roles as a board member of the United Way of Greater Los Angeles. In that capacity, he helped shape policy, build philanthropic support and promote advocacy to address poverty in the region. As recent past Chair of the exhibitions committee at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, he helped elevate the visual impact and curatorial excellence of the museum.

Mr. Ng is a staunch champion of bridging the United States and Asia through music, arts and culture.
